In Buryatia, an eighth-grader died during a lesson, investigators organized a check. This was reported on December 18 in the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the IC of Russia in the Republic.

"The investigative department for Ivolginsky district of the Investigative Department of the IC of Russia for the Republic of Buryatia on this fact initiated a criminal case on the signs of a crime under part 1 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence)," - noted in the Telegram-channel.

According to Dmitry Stolyarov, senior assistant head of the investigative department, on December 18, during a lesson in the eighth grade, the student became ill, after which he lost consciousness and died. Medics carried out resuscitation actions, but they did not yield results.

A forensic medical examination will be appointed to determine the cause of the boy's death. The investigation is conducting a check on the incident. The IC added that the boy was characterized on the positive side, was fond of sports, on December 19 planned to participate in a basketball tournament. Now the investigators at the scene of the incident examine the records from video surveillance cameras installed in the classrooms.

Earlier, on December 2, four students of the fifth grade of the Ossetian school went to the hospital because of a pencil. One of the pupils took out a plastic pencil, after which a sharp odor immediately appeared, four pupils became ill. The children were hospitalized.
