In Sochi, houses and a road were destroyed due to a landslide

Large landslides occurred in Sochi due to prolonged precipitation, resulting in the destruction of several houses and damaged road infrastructure. This was reported by the administration of the city of Sochi in Telegram-channel on December 18.

"Due to prolonged precipitation last night in Sochi there were several large landslides, affected road infrastructure in Khostinsky and Adler districts. The process of ground movement in the villages of Semenovka, Progress, Sergey-Pole, Krasnaya Volya continues", - stated in the message.

It is reported that in connection with the events in Sochi formed a flood.

The city administration said that there are no victims. At the sites of destruction are working rescuers. All decisions will be announced after the meeting of the Commission on emergency situations and operational headquarters.

In November in Uganda, 15 people were killed and at least 100 were missing after a landslide triggered by heavy rains buried dozens of houses in several villages. At least 40 households were reported to be completely covered with earth, while others suffered partial damage.
