Carolina goalie Kochetkov was named the NHL's second star of the game day

Russian goaltender of the Carolina Hurricanes Petr Kochetkov was recognized as the second star of the game day in the National Hockey League (NHL).

In the match against the New York Islanders, which ended 4-0 in favor of Carolina, Kochetkov deflected all 32 shots of the opponents in his goal.

The first star of the day was recognized as Montreal Canadiens forward Patrik Laine, who scored three goals in the game against the Buffalo Sabres (6:1). The third line was taken by goalie Linus Ullmark of the Ottawa Senators. In the match with the Seattle Kraken, he reflected 30 shots.

Earlier in the day, the Washington Capitals without Russian forward Alexander Ovechkin lost to the Chicago Blackhawks in a regular-season NHL game. However, Chicago's forward Ilya Mikheev scored a goal. He was recognized as the first star of the match against Washington. The forward scored a puck and then assisted on the second goal.
