In the US, more than 30 people were injured in a 40-car accident

Six accidents involving 40 vehicles occurred on the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway bridge in the US. During the incident 33 people were injured. This was reported on December 17 by the television station Fox8live.
It is specified that the accidents occurred on the same day due to foggy weather, which led to the closure of traffic on the bridge.
"The National Weather Service in New Orleans reports that visibility was reduced to less than one mile over parts of the lakefront, including the bridge," the publication stated.
As a result of the crashes, 33 people were hospitalized and some vehicles were damaged, presumably due to fire.
Earlier, on December 7, in eastern Turkey in Bitlis, more than 30 people were injured in an accident involving at least 23 cars. The cause of the accident was fog and ice. The injured were taken to a state hospital.
