"Rostec" has developed a modern wearable emergency stock (WES) for pilots' survival in emergency circumstances. This is reported on December 18 on the website of the state corporation.

"This is a vest of special construction, which is worn by pilots and contains the essentials - water, a flashlight-beacon, a special compass, a knife and a first-aid kit," the report says, specifying that it also has built-in armor and a universal holster for a pistol.

To top it all off, the kit will include various first aid supplies, signaling equipment, food, a survival kit and a combat kit.

The vest will be needed by the crew in the event of an emergency landing or ejection, and it also makes it easier to tolerate piloting overloads.

"The NAZ vest should increase the safety of air crews in case of unforeseen circumstances. <...> Serial production <...> will begin in 2025," Rostec said, noting that a full set of tests has already been passed.

Earlier, on December 6, Rostec State Corporation's High-Precision Complexes Holding fulfilled its annual contract to supply BTR-MDM multipurpose armored personnel carriers under the state defense order. The holding said that the Rakushka BTR-MDMs are capable of carrying up to 13 paratroopers, ammunition, spare parts, fuel and lubricants in airborne units under any combat conditions and in different types of climate.
