In Thailand, a Russian man was fined for decorating his car with Christmas lights. This was reported by the Bangkok Post newspaper on December 18.

The man said that he decorated his car in honor of the New Year holidays, because he saw similar decorations in other drivers in Bangkok.

It is noted that in Thailand it is forbidden to use such electric decorations on vehicles.

According to the newspaper, the police informed the Russian that the use of garlands can create a potential danger on the road and disorient drivers.

Earlier, on October 16, a Russian man was fined €400 in Estonia for wearing a St. George ribbon in his car. Border guards discovered the violation at the weekend, when the car was traveling from Narva to Estonia. The ribbon was attached to the rear view mirror. The driver was told that such symbols are prohibited in Estonia.
