In Altai, man sentenced to 20 years for attempting to poison servicemen

A resident of Barnaul has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for destructive activities in the interests of Ukraine. This was reported by the Federal Security Service of Russia in Altai Krai on December 18.

It is reported that a man born in 1981 through social networks established contact with representatives of special services of Ukraine and expressed readiness to support the Armed Forces of the country.

Thus, working in a catering establishment, he made an attempt to poison servicemen from among those mobilized in Altai Krai. According to the results of expert examinations, the poisonous substance used by the perpetrator could cause acute poisoning with possible lethal outcome.

The perpetrator filmed the entire process on video, which he sent to representatives of special services.

"[The court] found a resident of the region, born in 1981, guilty of committing crimes under part 3 of article 30, paragraph "a" of part 3 of article 205 (Attempted terrorist act) and part 3 of article 30, article 275 (Attempted treason) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation," the FSSB of Russia in Altai Krai said in a statement.

On the eve in Yalta detained a local resident who transferred to the intelligence service of Ukraine information about the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation in Crimea. The man through Telegram established contact with an employee of the GUR of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine and expressed readiness to provide the necessary information. Thus, on the instructions of his handler, he passed to the special services data, photo and video materials on the location and movement of military equipment of the Russian Armed Forces on the territory of the Republic of Crimea.
