In Kuzbass, a 16-year-old teenager died in a road accident

A teenager died in a traffic accident in the city of Leninsk-Kuznetsky in Kuzbass. This was reported on December 18 by the Main Department of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia in the Kemerovo region - Kuzbass.

"The road traffic accident occurred the day before at about 20:00. It is preliminarily established that the driver of the car "Chevrolet Cruze" passed the regulated intersection at the forbidding traffic light signal, drove into the lane of oncoming traffic, after which she made an exit from the road and crashed into the lighting support", - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel.

As a result of the accident, a 16-year-old passenger of the foreign car died of his injuries, the 20-year-old driver was hospitalized with injuries. In the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs indicated that the girl was brought to administrative responsibility for violation of traffic rules, including for passing on the prohibited traffic signal twice since the beginning of the year.

A criminal case under part 3 of article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of road traffic and operation of vehicles") was initiated on the fact of the accident.

Earlier the same day in the Neryungri district of Yakutia, a Higer bus carrying about 40 miners overturned on the technological road leading to the Inaglinsky mining and processing plant. The accident is being investigated.
