Four people were arrested in the Transbaikal Territory on charges of taking bribes worth more than 30 million rubles. This was reported on December 18 in the press service of the Investigative Committee for the region.
"Investigators of the second department for investigation of especially important cases of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Transbaikal Territory have charged four defendants in a criminal case for taking bribes on a particularly large scale, committed by an organized group under part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receiving a bribe")", - stated in the message of the press service in the Telegram-channel.
It is specified that one of the defendants in the case was also charged under part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Exceeding official powers").
The investigation claims that one of the defendants was the chairman of the accreditation commission on health care and together with the other defendants received bribes from medical workers for making out successful primary and specialized accreditations. In this regard, doctors who did not pass the relevant examinations received illegal accreditations.
Specialists revealed more than a thousand facts of bribes. Their amount exceeded 30 million rubles.
At the moment, four defendants are in custody, the investigation of the case continues.
Earlier, on December 13, it was reported that officers of the FSS of Russia in the Udmurt Republic detained the deputy head of the cemetery administration service of the Izhevsk municipal unitary enterprise "Service of landscaping and road maintenance" because of receiving a bribe on a particularly large scale.
