Air defense forces destroyed four Ukrainian UAVs overnight over three Russian regions

Air defense forces have destroyed four Ukrainian drones overnight over the territory of three Russian regions. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on December 18.

"On-duty air defense means destroyed four Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles. Two UAVs were destroyed over the territory of the Belgorod region and one UAV each over the territories of the Bryansk and Kursk regions," the report said in its Telegram channel.

The Russian Defense Ministry specified that the attacks were carried out by aircraft-type drones.

Earlier, on December 17, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported the destruction of a Ukrainian UAV in the region. According to him, there are no casualties and destruction as a result of the enemy attack. Operational and emergency services are working on the site.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
