Investigators have completed the investigation into the case of the murder of an inspector of the Moscow Administrative Road Inspectorate (MADI), which was committed on December 31, 2022 in Zaryadye Park by MMA fighter Lamberd Akhyanov (included in the Russian Federation in the list of terrorists and extremists) and reclassified it as a terrorist attack. "The investigation of the criminal case against Akhyadov Lamberd Bayalievich, born August 11, 1994, has been completed. In the final version, he is charged with a terrorist act, attempt on the life of a police officer (Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), use of violence against a police officer and participation in the activities of a terrorist organization," the law enforcers indicated.

Investigators specified that Akhyanov swore an oath to the organization "Islamic State" (the organization is recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia). The fighter faces life imprisonment.

On January 2, 2023, MMA fighter Lamberd Akhyadov was arrested by decision of the Tverskoy court on suspicion of murdering a MADI employee near Zaryadye Park in Moscow. The detainee inflicted at least 16 wounds to the victim in the area of vital organs, from which he died.
