Politico reported on Ukraine's study of various European election models

Ukraine is studying the possibility of holding electronic voting in elections after the end of the conflict. The head of the Servant of the People party, Olena Shulyak, told the Politico newspaper on December 17.
"We need to understand how we can hold elections in a democratic way, using the best and most effective practices," Shulyak said and added about the need for IT security.
According to the newspaper, the country has not had a national vote since 2019. This suggests that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (his term expired on May 20) and the Ukrainian parliament have "overstayed their authority". It is specified that the constitution prohibits holding elections during martial law and active hostilities because Kiev cannot guarantee security and the right to vote to all citizens, including military personnel and Ukrainians living on Russian territories.
According to Shulyak, the main problem is the voter register, as Ukrainians have gone abroad.
"According to various estimates, there are 6.5 million internally displaced persons alone," she pointed out.
Among the options the Kiev regime is considering are voting by mail, in-person voting abroad on election day, proxy voting and online voting.
Earlier, on December 16, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Kiev regime was losing signs of statehood and that the current Ukrainian leadership was illegitimate.
On 11 December, former Ukrainian MP and member of the international public movement Other Ukraine Spyrydon Kilinkarov said in a conversation with Izvestiya that not only Verkhovna Rada deputies, but also ordinary citizens realize Zelensky's illegitimacy. The former parliamentary deputy stressed that it was the Ukrainian president who was to blame for the conflict in the region and for all the problems in the country.
On December 2, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov pointed to Ukraine's fatigue with Zelensky. In addition, Peskov noted the change of mood in European countries.
Before that, on September 16, Ruslan Kalinchuk, a historian, missionary, and member of the international public movement The Other Ukraine, pointed out that Zelensky's regime is totalitarian and it is not profitable for him to hold elections. The Ukrainian leadership is obviously afraid of an unpredictable result because the country's population is tired of corruption, unlimited mobilization and other problems.
