S7 Airlines opened ticket sales for 2025 at subsidized fares

Sibir Airlines (S7 Airlines) tickets for 2025 can be bought at subsidized fares in accordance with the decision of November 26, 2024 on the procedure for granting subsidies. This was reported on December 17 in the press service of the airline.

"Tickets at subsidized fares can be purchased on S7 Airlines' own flights, which will be operated from January 1 to December 31, 2025," TASS quoted the press service as saying.

Discounted fares will be available on flights from Yakutsk, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Chita and many other cities.

Earlier in the day it was reported that Aeroflot Airlines expanded the geography of subsidized flights to 23 destinations for 2025.

Before that, on December 16, the Russian government reported that from January 1 to July 1, 2025 in the Russian Federation will begin pilot sale of tickets via the Internet for some categories of citizens participating in the program of subsidized air travel. These include young people under the age of 23, pensioners, disabled people and large families, as well as residents of regions in the Far Eastern Federal District and the Kaliningrad region.

In Russia, some passengers can save money on flights within the country under the air ticket subsidy program. For some destinations the trip will cost two or even three times cheaper than usual. All because the costs are partially covered by regional budgets. Subsidized air tickets are preferential airfares for certain categories of passengers.
