One person killed and four injured in gas station explosion in Uzbekistan


An explosion at a gas station in the city of Fergana in Uzbekistan killed one person and injured four others. This was reported by the local newspaper Gazeta.uz on December 17.
According to the Emergency Situations Department (ESD), eight people are also under the care of doctors. The Emergency Situations Department specified that emergency services localized and extinguished the fire at the gas station. The cause of the explosion was violations of technological process and safety rules during the discharge of liquefied gas.
Earlier, on September 27, three explosions occurred at a gas station in Makhachkala, followed by a fire. The fire covered 500 square meters, and it was liquidated the next day. As a result of the incident , 13 people were killed. A criminal case was opened, the court arrested the owner of the gas station.
