On Tuesday, December 17, veterinarians reminded owners of pets how to protect them during the holidays. This was told in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow region.

According to experts, decorating the Christmas tree, it is necessary to leave the bottom rows empty, as garlands, tinsel and other decorations pose a danger to the pet.

"If he began to have nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, salivation, general malaise, you should immediately contact a veterinarian," the press service of the department told Radio 1.

Veterinarians warned that you should not feed your pet with food from the holiday table, as it can cause allergies, poisoning, obstruction and trauma to the gastrointestinal tract.

"The popping of fireworks can frighten animals, so it's important to keep a firm grip on the leash during walks. It is very important that a four-legged friend is chipped and registered. In the case of loss in the presence of chip and registration contacts of the owner will be found in the database when applying to the nearest veterinary clinic and will promptly contact", - noted in the Ministry.

They added that residents can apply to the state veterinary clinic, having found a pet on the street without an owner.

December 5 in the Telegram-channel of the Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection of the capital noted that snakes - the symbol of the coming year - should not be presented as a gift for the holiday, reports NSN. The content of reptiles and the safety of loved ones should be approached responsibly, reports the agency of city news "Moscow".

Head of the exotic animals department of Vetcity Clinic Polina Pribysh told RIAMO that a person who is given a snake as a gift may often not be ready for it.
