The Defense Ministry reported the destruction of an AFU drone over Voronezh region

Russian air defense forces have eliminated a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) over the territory of Voronezh Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 17.

"Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle on duty air defense means destroyed over the territory of Voronezh region", - stated in the message of the department in Telegram-channel.

It is specified that the attack was stopped at about 20:30.

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry reported the destruction of one Ukrainian drone over the territory of Belgorod region. The ministry noted that the UAV was destroyed at night.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
