Artificial intelligence (AI) will compile comprehensive personalized selections for users of the Russpass travel service, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalia Sergunina.

According to her, Russpass has become the first in Russia profile service, in which AI makes individual recommendations for travelers based on their preferences. For experienced travelers, the selections are formed automatically. If the user registered recently, however, he or she will have to fill out a questionnaire.

"The new option will make the travel planning process even more convenient and faster. The assistant based on artificial intelligence will advise hotels, cultural sites, cafes, walking routes and excursions", - said Sergunina.

The selections can be found in the personal account, as well as in the key sections: "Places and events", "Routes and excursions", "Restaurants and cafes", "Lodging". A "By My Interests" filter is available in these.

As the user interacts with Russpass, adding locations to favorites, booking hotels or tables in cafes, the recommendations will improve. Travelers can give feedback to the neural network - there are "Guessed!" or "Not my thing" buttons for this purpose.

Russpass was created on the initiative of the Moscow government. The project is overseen by the capital's Tourism Committee together with the Department of Information Technology. All in all, the service contains tens of thousands of suggestions for tourists - themed routes, hotels, museums and cultural events.
