- Nearly 19 million illegal light industrial goods blocked at cash registers in a month

Almost 19 million illegal light industry goods were blocked at the cash desks of Russian stores in a month thanks to the "Honest Mark" labeling system. Information about it appeared at the disposal of "Izvestiya" on December 17.
Since November 1, 2024, the Russian government has introduced a permissive regime for light industry goods.
The main reason for the blocking of clothing was the lack of information in the "Honest Mark" system about the entry of goods into circulation. Such cases were recorded almost 12 million.
"During the month, due to repeated sales, that is, due to duplication of the code, more than 4.8 million suspicious light industrial goods were blocked at the cash registers. I note that one product could be blocked for several reasons at once. Because of the absence in the system of both the marking code and information on the entry of goods into circulation," Igor Vizgin, head of projects of the office of the chief designer of the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CDAT), told Izvestia.
Another of the most private reasons for blocking goods is the correctness of the verification code. The codes could be fake or damaged, and the goods with them did not pass the cryptography check. Such cases were recorded about 3 million.
Earlier, on December 12, the press service of the CRPT, which is the state operator of the labeling system "Honest Mark", told "Izvestia" that for eight months of 2024 in the system marked almost 2 billion light industry goods, such as dresses, skirts, shirts, cardigans, cardigans, ties, scarves, tracksuits, outerwear and overalls. Mandatory labeling for these types of goods was introduced on April 1. Moscow took the lead in terms of labeling volumes, with 536 million codes created for participants in the capital's market.
