The German Interior Ministry has been hit by a cyberattack

The German Interior Ministry has been subjected to a cyberattack. This was reported by the newspaper Bild on Tuesday, December 17.
The publication notes that on Saturday (December 14) there was a cyberattack on the website of the German Interior Ministry. As a result, the page was inaccessible for several hours.
"The analysis of the Federal Center for Information Technology (ITZ) showed that the cause of the short-term inaccessibility of the Interior Ministry website was a DDoS attack," said a spokesman for the agency.
Earlier, on June 1, Der Spiegel newspaper, citing the German Interior Ministry, reported that the resources of Germany's largest opposition party - the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) - were subjected to a large-scale cyberattack a week before the elections to the European Parliament.
