A sect of false healers called "Cassiopeia" has appeared in Russia, promising people to cure their bodies of diseases and cleanse their minds with the help of "energy practices" and "communication with the cosmos," Izvestiya found out.

Formally, the activity is conducted by the legal entity ANO "Wellness Center for Spiritual and Physical Development "Cassiopeia". The founders of the structure, 38-year-old Irina Podzorova (Zakharova) and Maxim Rusan, attracted in social networks about 200 thousand followers from different Russian regions and collect monthly donations from them in the amount of 100 thousand rubles per person.

The sect has followers from Moscow, Voronezh, Novosibirsk, Ufa and Chelyabinsk. As a result of the organization's activities, there are a number of victims. One of them, Sergei Alekseev, complained in social networks about Rusan's fraud and said that there was a conflict between them. According to Alekseev, the actions of the one are directed from the United States.

In turn, a woman named Maria Epifantseva said that she was an administrator of one of the centers "Cassiopeia", but left there because she could not deceive people. She believes that Podzorova has a mental disorder, on which Rusan makes money.

In addition, the daughter of another of those recruited appealed to Izvestia with a request to help free her mother from the influence of scammers.

Izvestia correspondent Ivan Litomin managed to infiltrate the sect and learn details about its work and the reasons for its creation from the words of the founder herself.

"Kirchiton offered to fly with him, I agreed, we visited his planet - in the constellation Cassiopeia. From that moment I became a contactor. I visited another planet in my physical body. <...> Kirchiton spoke to me. He's three meters tall, three eyes and no neck. His spaceship, when traveling to another planet, makes a gravity jump," Podzorova claimed.

She stated that the thought of creating such a project came to her in 2019 when she met Rusan. According to Podzorova, who calls herself a guide, the goals of the sect are to deliver information from the "interstellar union of the galaxy," teach "communication with the higher self," interpret religious texts and heal.

The woman also claims to have "chips from aliens" to tune in to "the flow of information from spirits."

Earlier, on December 9, a follower of the Falun Gong sect (the organization is banned in Russia and recognized as extremist), which was founded in China in 1992 and later banned in the homeland because of cases of suicide and belief in "miraculous healing," was arrested in Moscow. One of the organizers of the organization's work in Russia was also arrested in Tomsk in November.
