Trump sues pollster over Harris poll showing Harris advantage

US President-elect Donald Trump has sued Iowa pollster J. Ann Selzer over a pre-election poll that showed the state's voters favoring Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. Politico reported this on Thursday, Dec. 17, citing documents.
"While Seltzer is not the only public opinion pollster who resorted to this corrupt practice, she had a huge platform and following, and thus a substantial and actionable opportunity to deceive voters," the publication quoted the lawsuit that Trump filed.
The president-elect himself called the results of the poll a direct interference in the election.
The poll turned out to be incorrect, as Trump won the election in the state with a margin of more than 13 points. That didn't stop the president-elect from claiming that the poll was designed to manipulate the election results.
Earlier, on October 31, Trump sued CBS News over an interview with Harris and demanded $10 billion for attempted election interference. It was specified that the lawsuit was filed in the state of Texas, after Trump's lawyers wrote letters to CBS News demanding to publish the full transcript of the interview with Harris in the program "60 Minutes", as she gave two different answers to a question about the Middle East. However, the network refused to publish the transcript.
The election for the 47th president of the United States was held on Nov. 5. In the popular vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while Harris received 47.4%. After the defeat, the Vice President came out to supporters with a speech, during which she expressed gratitude to them and incumbent President Joe Biden for their support. She said that her team will help Trump carry out the transition of power.
