UAZ production launch dates are known in Cuba

Production of UAZ vehicles in Cuba is planned to start in February 2025. This was reported to Izvestia on December 18 by an own source at the Ulyanovsk automobile plant. He noted that the Cuban side is currently finalizing the preparation of the assembly site.

"The first batch of assembly equipment has already been moved to the shop, in January it is planned to install it and deliver the first assembly machine kits. In February next year, after checking and adjusting the equipment, it is planned to launch production," a source at the Ulyanovsk automobile plant told Izvestia. According to him, the first orders for cars assembled in Cuba have already been received.

According to preliminary information, the Republic of Cuba is planning to start production of UAZ Patriot and UAZ Pickup from Russian vehicle kits.

On December 12, representatives of the Ulyanovsk automobile plant told Izvestia that Cuba received a dozen and a half new UAZ Patriot SUVs. Taking into account the recent hurricanes, these vehicles are intended to help restore the infrastructure of the island of freedom.

On November 28, it was reported that the Ulyanovsk automobile plant will upgrade its paint complex before the start of production of pickup trucks under the Sollers brand, due to which the quality of paint coating of UAZ trucks will increase.
