A direct train started running between Pskov and Murmansk

A direct train started running between Pskov and Murmansk on Tuesday, December 17. This was announced by the governor of the Pskov region, Mikhail Vedernikov, in his Telegram channel.

The train will depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from Pskov at 1:35, and arrive in Murmansk at 10:47. Travel time is 33 hours and 10 minutes. From Murmansk the train will depart on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 15:20. Arrival in Pskov - at 23:25. Travel time is 32 hours and 5 minutes. The train will run in this direction all year round.

Vedernikov expressed confidence that the launch of the new direction will strengthen the tourist potential of both the Pskov and Murmansk regions, and bring the residents of the two regions closer, writes Pskov newswire.

In early November it was reported that the collective accommodation facilities of the Pskov region earned 2.6 billion rubles from January to September 2024. The amount received is 6.8% more than in the same period of 2023. More than a quarter - 26.3% in the total volume of services provided by the CEB were services of sanatorium and resort organizations.
