Medvedev urged to find those who ordered the murder of General Kirillov

Russian law enforcement agencies must do everything to find the orderers and perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Moscow, which killed Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of radiation, chemical and biological defense. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev on December 17.
"Today our colleague and our comrade Igor Anatolievich Kirillov died as a result of a terrorist attack. <...> Despite the fact that the investigation has just begun, already our enemies have rushed to publish information about their involvement. But in any case, law enforcement agencies must find the killers in Russia," Medvedev said. The video of the speech is published on the page of the politician in the social network "VKontakte".
Earlier on December 17, the Governor of the Kostroma region Sergey Sitnikov said that the head of the Russian Chemical Defense Forces, who died in Moscow as a result of a terrorist attack, warned that he was being hunted. There is no doubt that this is due to the fact that under his leadership information about secret biological laboratories - including in Ukraine - was uncovered, Sitnikov pointed out. The official expressed confidence that the crime will be solved and the guilty will be punished.
About the death of Igor Kirillov and his assistant became known earlier in the morning. According to the version of the investigation, the military died as a result of detonation of an explosive device planted in a scooter, standing near the entrance. The explosion occurred near a seven-story apartment building on Ryazansky Avenue in Moscow. A criminal case of murder and terrorist act was opened on the fact of the incident.
Later it was reported that criminalists have collected fragments of explosives and other evidence, on which they will conduct the necessary expertise. Witnesses are being questioned. The Russian Foreign Ministry's ambassador-at-large for Ukrainian crimes, Rodion Miroshnik, said that the evidence cited by the general was threatening and painful for Russia's opponents.
