Sushi and rolls delivery chain "Yobidoyobi" has changed the corporate name of the legal entity. This was reported on December 17 in the Department of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP) in Mordovia.

"After a year of proceedings and attempts to circumvent the decree, the business owners were forced to change the brand. <...> The enforcement proceedings ended with actual execution," the publication on the website said.

According to the agency, the name of the company caused mass complaints from Russians.

Mordovian bailiffs intervened in the situation after the organization moved its office to Saransk. The owners agreed to change the name after explanatory conversations, warning about the consequences of failure to comply with the law, specifies "Gazeta.Ru".

Arbitration Court of the Krasnoyarsk region obliged "Yobidoyobi" to change the name on April 7, 2023. The reason given was the presence of the name in the public domain and the probable association with profanity.

The lawsuit against the company was filed by the local branch of the Federal Tax Service (FTS), but the organization did not provide evidence of the correlation of the name with the transliteration from the Japanese language phrase "Day of the week - Saturday".

The Yobidoyobi chain began operating in Krasnoyarsk in 2016. It now has outlets in more than 60 Russian cities.
