Photo traps will be set up in the forests of Transbaikalia to search for arsonists

About 380 photo traps will be installed in the forests of the Zabaikalsky Krai to search for arsonists. This was reported by the press service of the regional government on Tuesday, December 17.

In total, the authorities plan to purchase 373 cameras and 930 information signs using funds from the reserve fund. The measures are taken within the framework of protection of forests from fires and hunting resources.

In December, the devices will be distributed to the territories. A scheme will also be created to track arsonists. Information from the photo traps will immediately go to the dispatch center, writes IA ChitaMedia.

Earlier, in November, it was reported that 830 million rubles will be allocated to fight fires in Transbaikalia in 2025. The money, in particular, will be spent on the construction of fire stations.
