A new school for 1.5 thousand places opened in Stavropol

A new school No. 54 for one and a half thousand pupils was opened in Stavropol. The opening ceremony was attended by the governor of the region Vladimir Vladimirov, as the press service of the head and government of the region reports on Tuesday, December 17.
The institution consists of two blocks, one of them houses an elementary school. The building for middle and high school students is equipped with 79 classrooms, including 10 language laboratories and six for computer science. There are plans to open remedial classes for visually and hearing impaired children.
The school also has wood, metal and fabric processing workshops, cooking, music and art rooms. Extended day care and extracurricular activities are provided for pupils.
The canteen is designed for 780 pupils, the assembly hall - for 580 listeners. The buildings have five halls for sports, in particular, a gym, two gymnastic and LFK. A stadium with natural lawn, ball fields, running tracks and a tennis court were built on the territory.
As StavropolMedia IA notes, in total five schools were built in the region in the current 2024 year, three more will be completed in 2025. Several educational institutions will also be renovated. The Stavropol authorities plan to invest 41 billion rubles in the industry.
