The Roscongress Foundation and the Russian Science Foundation signed a cooperation agreement

On December 17, the press center of the Rossiya Segodnya media group hosted the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Roscongress Foundation and the Russian Science Foundation. Andrey Fursenko, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, took part in the signing ceremony. The document was signed by Alexander Stuglev, Chairman of the Board and Director of the Roscongress Foundation, and Vladimir Bespalov, General Director of the Russian Science Foundation.

The agreement is aimed at developing cooperation in organizing and holding congress and exhibition events, including those of scientific and technological orientation, and popularizing the results of research of domestic scientists and developers. "The Roscongress Foundation and the Russian Science Foundation have been interacting productively for a long time. Today we formalize this interaction and sign an agreement expanding the cooperation between the two organizations, for which we have high hopes. I am confident that the expansion of partnership between the foundations will strengthen the scientific and technological agenda of the country's central congress and exhibition events and strengthen the representation of leading scientists at the largest international venues of the Roscongress Foundation. This will provide an opportunity to present to the general public significant fundamental scientific results and advanced technologies aimed at ensuring the independence and competitiveness of the country and ensuring its technological sovereignty," said Andrey Fursenko, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation.

Under the agreement, the parties plan to provide mutual consulting, information and expert support, develop international communication platforms in the Russian Federation and abroad.

"The Roscongress Foundation as the leader of the event market is actively developing the scientific track in the industry - both by including the scientific component in the program of major events and by holding separate events of scientific and technological orientation. Our portfolio includes such events as the Congress of Young Scientists, the Future Technologies Forum, the Healthy Society Forum, technological sections of the program of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Eastern Economic Forum and other events. We have accumulated considerable expertise in the field of promoting scientific developments and achievements. Cooperation with the Russian Science Foundation will make it possible to enrich the events even more through in-depth expert elaboration of topics, selection of speakers and moderators, as well as to present even more achievements of Russian science on our platforms," said Alexander Stuglev, Chairman of the Board, Director of the Roscongress Foundation.

Within the framework of the agreement the Russian Science Foundation will provide support in forming the concept and scientific agenda of the Roscongress Foundation events, inviting potential participants, experts, scientists, researchers on the topics of the events, expert evaluation of speakers and moderators of the business program sessions, selection of actual achievements of Russian science for their demonstration.

The Roscongress Foundation plans to integrate the activities of the Russian Science Foundation and its technological partners into the business and exhibition programs of the organized events, including presentations of new products and technological achievements through press events, ceremonies of signing agreements and placement of media content at the venues.

"RNF grantees, and these are our country's leading scientists, traditionally take an active part in the key events of the Roscongress Foundation. Every year RNF supports more than 60 thousand scientists, 70% of whom are young, including about 7 thousand graduate students and 6 thousand undergraduates. And they all have something to present and tell a wide audience about. They are the vanguard of scientific thought: it is they who determine where science is moving, and therefore, what our lives will be in the near future," said Vladimir Bespalov, Director General of the Russian Science Foundation.

The parties also plan to organize new formats of interaction in the field of presentation of the results of activities on forecasting scientific and technological development of various industries, as well as joint events, exchange of reference, statistical, analytical information on planned events, projects and programs.
