Governor Sitnikov said that Kirillov knew about the "hunt" that had begun on him

Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense (RCDBZ) troops, who died in a terrorist attack in Moscow, warned that he was being hunted. This was stated by the Governor of the Kostroma region Sergey Sitnikov on Tuesday, December 17.
In his Telegram channel he published a video message in which he said that Kirillov was his friend and an honorary citizen of the region. Sitnikov noted the military man's merits in service and exploits.
"Some time ago he told me that he had already been warned that the hunt for him had begun. No doubt this is due to the fact that under his leadership information about secret biological laboratories - including in Ukraine- was uncovered," the governor said.
He added that he was confident that the crime would be solved and the perpetrators would be punished.
Earlier on December 17, LDPR Chairman Leonid Slutsky recalled joint work with Kirillov. He called him the highest professional and recalled the time when they studied the centers of chemical and biological impact on people, created by the U.S. around the world, in particular on the territory of Ukraine.
The deaths of Igor Kirillov and his assistant became known earlier in the morning. According to the version of the investigation, the military died as a result of detonation of an explosive device planted in a scooter standing near the entrance. The explosion occurred near a seven-story apartment building on Ryazansky Avenue in Moscow. A criminal case of murder and terrorist act was opened over the incident.
