In the Chelyabinsk Region, migrants have had the ban on work under patents in force in the region extended. The announcement has been published on the website of the regional government. It will come into force on January 1, 2025.

The document states the establishment of a ban on the involvement by economic entities of foreigners who carry out labor activities on the basis of patents in 20 spheres. In particular, they are forbidden to work in cabs, suburban and intercity transportation. They will not be able to repair computers and household appliances. In addition, the ban applies to the sphere of trade - both retail and wholesale.

By March 1, 2025 it is necessary to bring the number of used foreign workers in compliance with the requirements, the document says, writes IA "Ura.ru".

December 11, it was reported that the State Duma passed a law prohibiting enrollment in schools of children of migrants who do not know Russian.

November 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to prepare a federal algorithm for working with the children of migrants who have a poor command of the Russian language or do not speak it at all. He recalled that foreign applicants for admission to Russian universities are tested in Russian language, and noted that it should receive a unified standard.
