The number of flights to Istanbul (Turkey) from St. Petersburg airport will increase from January 6. Instead of one flight per day there will be two flights in this direction.

TV channel "78" with reference to the publication "Kommersant" specifies that the additional flight will be made by Pegasus Airlines. From Pulkovo airport the plane will depart at 02:30, in Istanbul it will land at 06:25 local time.

Thus, passengers will have more time to organize connections to flights around the world, including to European countries.

At the end of November, aggregators reported to Izvestia that the cost of tours for New Year vacations has increased by 30% in some destinations. Egypt, Thailand, UAE and Russian regions were among the popular vacation destinations in early January. Air tickets to popular tourist destinations have also gone up in price: for the year they have added up to 23%. The period of New Year holidays traditionally remains one of the most expensive for vacations, experts noted.
