In China, a schoolboy's father nearly died of a heart attack over homework assignments

In China, the father of a high school student nearly died of a heart attack while helping his son do his homework.The South China Morning Post reported on Dec. 17.

"The father, surnamed Zhang, who was in his 40s, suddenly felt it was hard to breathe and had chest pain while studying with his son, a high school graduate who was preparing for the high school entrance exam in east China's Zhejiang province," the newspaper said.

Due to emotional stress, the man suffered a heart attack caused by premature coronary heart disease. Zhang was immediately taken to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with an acute myocardial infarction.

It is noted that the man often supervised his son's schoolwork and arranged extra classes every night.

Earlier, on September 8, in China, a man died after 104 days of work with one day off. The man worked from February through May 2023 with no days off. It wasn't until May 25 that he took time off due to illness, spending the entire day in a dormitory. On May 28, he was hospitalized with a lung infection and respiratory failure, and the man died on June 1.
