Footage of the alleged explosion that took place on December 17 near a house on Ryazansky Prospekt in Moscow and claimed the lives of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Forces of the Russian Armed Forces, and his assistant has been published.

The footage, which was among the first to be circulated by Ukrainian Telegram channels, shows a bright flash as the two men leave the entrance of an apartment building.

Earlier, the Izvestia correspondent at the scene of the emergency showed the destroyed entranceway and broken glass in the windows on the first floor. Also one of the eyewitnesses said that a strong explosion occurred at 6 am. At first no one understood what was happening, then the residents learned about the tragedy.

The death of Igor Kirillov and his assistant became known earlier in the day. The men were killed as a result of detonation of an explosive device planted in a scooter, standing near the entrance. The explosion occurred near a seven-story apartment building on Ryazansky Avenue in Moscow. A criminal case of murder and terrorist act was opened on the fact of the incident. Later it was reported that criminalists have collected fragments of explosives and other evidence, on which they will conduct the necessary expertise. Witnesses are being questioned.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova noted that Igor Kirillov had been systematically exposing the crimes of the West for many years, worked fearlessly and never hid behind the backs of others. In turn, the Russian Foreign Ministry's ambassador-at-large for Ukraine's crimes Rodion Miroshnik said that the evidence cited by the general was threatening and painful for Russia's adversaries. The deputy speaker of the Federation Council, Konstantin Kosachev, called the incident an irreparable loss, expressed condolences to the families of the victims and said that the killers would be punished beyond any doubt.
