A UAV unit of the North group of the Russian Armed Forces (AFU) has foiled a road bombing by militants of the UkrainianArmed Forces (AFU) in Kharkiv Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on Tuesday, December 17.

"The means of aerial reconnaissance of one of the units of the "North" group of troops in Kharkiv region detected AFU militants who tried to mine a road," the ministry said.

After analyzing the intelligence, it was decided to strike the enemy. The drone operator, using guided munitions, accurately hit the Ukrainian militants, preventing the road from being mined.

The objective control footage shows the detection of the enemy and the subsequent abandonment of their positions by the AFU fighters after the attack.

Earlier, on December 14, the Russian Defense Ministry showed footage of operators destroying military drones of the AFU military in a wooded area in Kharkiv Region. It was specified that the objects were detected by means of aerial reconnaissance of one of the units of the group of troops "North".

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
