Ukrainian media reported explosions in Kiev amid air alert

Explosions were sounded in Kiev against the background of an air alert. This was reported on Tuesday, December 17, by the Ukrainian publication "Public".

"Explosions are heard in Kiev <...> Explosions are heard in [Kiev-controlled] Kherson," the Telegram channel reported.

The Russian Defense Ministry did not comment on the information about the explosions.

Earlier in the day it was reported that explosions were heard in Ukraine in Sumy district. An air alert was declared in Sumy, Poltava, Kirovograd, Cherkassy and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
