Air Arabia will launch direct flights from Sochi to Sharjah in June 2025

Air Arabia will launch direct flights from Sochi to Sharjah next year. They will be operated from June 27, 2025 three times a week - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
"We are delighted to launch this new route to Sochi, which will expand our presence in Russia and strengthen ties between the UAE and Russia," said Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali.
Alexei Starostin, CEO of Aerodynamika Management Company (manages airports in Sochi, Krasnodar and Anapa), noted that the UAE is among the top 5 popular countries among passengers, especially as a tourist destination. He also added that there is a growing interest of UAE citizens in the resort capital of Russia.
Sochi will become the sixth city in Russia to which Air Arabia already operates flights, after Moscow, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Ufa and Samara. The airline has direct flights to Russia from other hubs in the United Arab Emirates, from Moscow to Ras al-Khaimah and Abu Dhabi, as well as from Yekaterinburg to Abu Dhabi. The carrier owns a fleet of 79 Airbus A320 and A321 neo-LR aircraft.
Earlier, on October 23, Russian Deputy Transport Minister Vladimir Poteshkin said at the ICAN 2024 forum that Russian airlines are preparing for the resumption of air service with Malaysia. According to him, the decision to start flights will depend on the interest of tourists and economic feasibility for carriers.
