Rosgvardiya shot down a Ukrainian drone with small arms in Zaporizhzhya region


A Rosgvardiya mobile firing team shot down a Ukrainian drone of airplane type with small arms in Zaporizhzhya region. This was reported on December 17 by the press service of the agency.
"The task of the mobile fire group is to cover the troops' outfits, the destruction of aircraft of various types, both winged and quadrocopters ordinary. Recently moved to the area of filling tasks and hit an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle," - said the Rosgvardia fighter.
Having received information about the approach of a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the fighters quickly arrived at a position in the place of the drone's intended route. The mobile firing team opened fire on the drone, which was at an altitude of more than 100 meters. As a result, the UAV exploded in mid-air.
Thanks to the decisive actions of the servicemen, the enemy drone was unable to reach the civilian infrastructure of Zaporizhzhya region.
Earlier, on December 16, Rosgvardia fighters with the help of a kamikaze drone destroyed an armored combat vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kursk region. It is noted that the technique was discovered during aerial reconnaissance of the area.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
