FSB detains Nizhny Novgorod man who offered to sabotage Ukrainian security services


A resident of Nizhny Novgorod, who suggested that the Ukrainian security services should organize an explosion at a local enterprise that produces military products, has been detained. This was reported by the regional department of the FSB on December 17.
It is established that the suspect on his own initiative established contact with the intelligence service of Ukraine and offered to blow up structures and equipment of one of the industrial enterprises of Nizhny Novgorod, producing military products in the interests of the Russian Defense Ministry.
As specified in the agency, "the motives of the crime were commitment to pro-Ukrainian views, as well as self-interest".
The man was detained and a criminal case was opened against him under Article 275.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Cooperation on a confidential basis with a foreign state").
His home was searched. Evidence relevant to the case was found and seized. Law enforcers are also investigating the involvement of the attacker in other crimes and identify possible accomplices.
Shortly before that it became known that in Yalta detained a local resident who transferred to the intelligence service of Ukraine information about the Armed forces (AF) of the Russian Federation in the Crimea. The man through Telegram established contact with an employee of the GUR of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine and expressed readiness to provide the necessary information. Thus, on the instructions of his handler, he passed to the special services data, photo and video materials on the location and movement of military equipment of the Russian Armed Forces on the territory of the Republic of Crimea.
