A robot sapper is working at the scene of an explosion near a residential building on Ryazansky Avenue in Moscow. Video from the scene on December 17 is published by Izvestia.

Investigators and police officers also continue to work at the scene.

According to the source of "Izvestia", the bodies of the two victims have not yet been taken away from the site of the explosion.

The explosion at a seven-story apartment building on Ryazansky Avenue became known earlier in the day. A criminal case was opened over the incident.

The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia later reported that the explosion killed two servicemen - the head of radiation, chemical and biological defense troops of the Russian Armed Forces (AF), Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov and his assistant. According to investigators, an explosive device was detonated in the morning, planted in a scooter, standing near the entrance of an apartment building.

Law enforcement officials are clarifying all the circumstances. In the near future, a number of expert examinations will be appointed, including medical and explosion-technical.
