In Yalta, a local resident was detained for passing information about the location and movement of military equipment of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) in Crimea to the Ukrainian security service. This was reported on December 17 by the Public Relations Center of the Federal Security Service of Russia.
It is specified that the detainee is a man born in 1993. He established contact with an employee of the GUR of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine via Telegram and expressed readiness to provide the necessary information. So, on the instructions of the curator he transferred to the intelligence services data, photo and video materials on the location and movement of military equipment of the Armed forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of the Republic of Crimea.
"The investigative department of the FSS of Russia in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol in respect of the detainee initiated criminal proceedings under Article 275.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Cooperation on a confidential basis with a foreign state, international or foreign organization")", - stated in the message of the department.
The man has been taken into custody.
Law enforcers continue to conduct operational-search activities and investigative actions.
Earlier, on December 11, in Sevastopol sentenced to 13 years in prison 48-year-old local resident Anton Cherny for the transfer of information about the objects of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The man in the period from September 2023 to February 2024 cooperated with the border service of Ukraine. On their assignment in Yalta and Sevastopol, he photographed objects and military equipment of the Russian Armed Forces, collected information about their location and sent it to the Ukrainian side.
