Five people were killed and one injured in a road accident involving a car and a truck in the Ulyanovsk region. This was reported by the UMVD of Russia in the region on Tuesday, December 17.

The incident occurred on the highway Saransk - Surskoye - Ulyanovsk in the Zasviyazhsky district of Ulyanovsk. According to preliminary information, the driver of the foreign car did not cope with the control, flying out into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a truck.

"As a result of the accident, five people who were in the passenger car were killed, the driver of the truck was taken to a medical facility," - reported in the Telegram-channel of the UMVD of Russia in the Ulyanovsk region.

It is noted that at the scene of the accident are working employees of the state traffic police.

Earlier in the day, as a result of a bus overturn in Gazimuro-Zavodsky district of Zabaikalsky Krai, two people died, three more were hospitalized.
