In Ukraine, residents have complained about failures in the new schedules of light outages. This was reported by the Ukrainian daily Strana.ua on 16 December.

As the energy company Ukrenerho explained, they decided to introduce new schedules in order to ensure that all consumers, regardless of the region, have the same time intervals per day. However, already on the first day the failures began.

"People complain en masse that the shutdowns do not coincide with the new schedules, and some consumers sit without light "for two", while the second subgroup within the same queue, on the contrary, do not disconnect at all or disconnected for a short time (half an hour or an hour)", - writes the publication.

It is noted that the disruptions are associated with the innovation, which divides consumers into subgroups and provides for an additional 30 minutes to turn on the electricity.

Earlier, on November 17, the Minister of energy of the country German Galushchenko said that the regime of emergency power cuts introduced in Ukraine.

Before that, on November 4, Ukrainian geopolitical analyst and veteran of the country's Armed Forces Viktor Kovalenko admitted that the upcoming winter will be the most difficult for Ukraine since February 2022 and ghost towns may appear amid electricity problems.

On 14 October, the director of the Ukrainian Center for Energy Research, Oleksandr Kharchenko, said that Ukrenerho may lose the certification confirming its ability to import electricity from the European Union at the beginning of winter. According to Kharchenko, remaining without electricity imports from Europe in winter will be a heavy blow for the Ukrainian energy sector.
