Direct Line with Putin - 2024: live stream

On December 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin will answer questions from citizens and journalists during the direct line, which is traditionally held at the end of the year. "Izvestia" tells when the live broadcast will take place and where to watch the broadcast in 2024.

Like last year, the direct line will be combined with a press conference of the head of state. The live broadcast will start at 12:00 Moscow time.

The broadcast will be held in the official communities of the event in "VKontakte" and "Odnoklassniki". The annual event will also be shown on the air of many federal channels - First, "Russia 1", "Russia 24", "Mir", NTV and OTR.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced in mid-November that the direct line would take place. Then he also said that the event will be combined with a large press conference. Such a format was in 2023. A separate name was chosen for it - "The results of the year with Vladimir Putin".

Last year, the president received more than 2 million appeals from Russians. He answered questions about the growth of real wages, pensions, and also touched on a number of topics related to the Special Military Operation (SMO) in Ukraine and in new regions of Russia.

This year, as of December 16, more than 1.05 thousand appeals have been registered. Among the most frequent topics are the quality and availability of housing, medicine, benefits, transportation infrastructure and other significant issues.

Reception of appeals for the direct line began on December 8. Questions will be accepted until December 19 inclusive until the end of the program.
