Trudeau says no intention of leaving office over cabinet changes

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on December 16, during his speech to members of the ruling Liberal Party in the city of Gatineau said that he does not intend to leave his post because of changes in the Cabinet and the resignation of Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland. His remarks were broadcast on CTV.
"It is an absolute privilege of my life to serve as your prime minister," Trudeau said.
He specified that he wants to continue to make Canada better together with his colleagues in the party.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that Trudeau was considering resigning over Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland's decision to leave the government. Freeland said she would leave the Cabinet on December 16, as Trudeau decided to deprive her of the portfolio of Finance Minister, transferring her to another job in the government.
Before that, on October 17, political scientist Gleb Belyakov said that Canadians are tired of the ruling Liberal Party and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who has been in office for almost nine years. In his opinion, the main reasons are a period of high inflation and slower GDP growth compared to the United States. The expert also stressed that Trudeau constantly creates negative infoprovocations, such as honoring an SS veteran in Parliament, buying a condominium in Manhattan for $9 million to the consul general.
