There was a fire in a school in Buryatia

In the village of Tokhoi, Dzhida district, Republic of Buryatia, there was a school fire. This was reported on December 17 in the Republican Agency for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations.

"At 4:20 a.m. (local time; 23:20 Moscow time on December 16. - Ed.) on the fire department's console received a message about the fire of the school in the village of Tokhoi, Dzhida district", - stated in the message of the agency in Telegram-channel.

It is specified that local residents restrained the spread of fire to neighboring buildings before the arrival of firefighters. At 08:48 local time (03:48 Moscow time) the open burning was liquidated on a total area of 400 square meters. m.

Earlier, on November 30, a school building caught fire at Byrka station in the Transbaikal Territory. There were no lessons in the school at the time of the fire. A criminal case under part 1 of article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "negligence" was instituted. A fire-technical examination has been appointed, the school management and its employees are being questioned.
