On the eve of the Day of Strategic Missile Forces in the Kozelsk missile unit in the Kaluga Region, the Yars intercontinental ballistic missile was loaded into a silo launcher. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on December 17.

The ministry specified that the missile is installed in the SHL with the help of a special transportation and loading unit. The most complicated technological operations last several hours.

"Complex technical activities that require from the personnel endurance, iron discipline and strict fulfillment of all tasks of the commander," - said the head of the calculation.

It is planned that the re-equipment of the rearmed regiment of the Kozelsky missile compound to the Yars fixed-based missile system will be completed next year.
