The Arrow-10 SAM system destroyed an AFU drone in the Krasnoarmeysk direction

An anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) "Strela-10" of the "Center" group of troops has destroyed an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Krasnoarmeyskoye direction of the special operation. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 17.
In the course of combat work, the calculation of the observation post detected an enemy reconnaissance UAV of airplane type. This data was transmitted to the Strela-10 SAM system. The servicemen put the system on alert, brought it to the firing line and then fired a missile, destroying the enemy Leleka reconnaissance drone. Having eliminated the drone, the calculation provided cover for the ground grouping of Russian units.
"Artillery, we directly work with them, cover their combat points from reconnaissance UAVs. "Strela-10 has proven itself very well from the very beginning of the NWO: Leleka, Leleka-100, Furia, Valkyrie are often caught. Not so long ago our guys shot down a German UAV "Vector", - shared sergeant and commander of the combat vehicle Artem Kiryakov.
The servicemen also shot down a homemade enemy barrage munition, which caught fire in the air and detonated on impact with the ground. Due to the high intensity of the use of enemy drones, anti-aircraft gunners constantly change firing positions.
Earlier, on December 16, a 203-millimeter 2S7M Malka self-propelled artillery system (SAU) of the Center group of troops eliminated armored vehicles and an AFU stronghold, preventing the rotation of militants in the Krasnoarmeysk direction. Having received the coordinates, the squad moved to the square of the task and, having put the vehicle into a combat position, delivered a series of blows with 110 kg fragmentation-fugitive shells.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region.
