Poland's presidency in the EU Council will not change the nature of relations between the two countries in the foreseeable future, the Russian diplomatic mission in Warsaw told Izvestia.

"There is no cooperation between Russia and Poland and is not expected in the foreseeable future," diplomats replied.

December 16-17 is the ceremony of transferring the presidency of the EU Council from Hungary to Poland. Warsaw's powers will begin on January 1, 2025.
