The White House said Dec. 16 that U.S. President Joe Biden has been briefed on the shooting at a Wisconsin Christian school.
"The President has been briefed on the school shooting in Madison, Wisconsin," White House deputy press secretary Emily Simons wrote on her social media page X (former Twitter).
She also indicated that officials are in touch with their counterparts in Madison and stand ready to provide support.
Earlier in the day, NBC News reported that at least five people were killed in a shooting at a Christian school in the US. The head of local police said that at least seven people were hospitalized. In turn, the ABC News channel specified that the shooter was among the dead.
