Representatives of the Democratic Party of the United States and their aides want to see Vice President Kamala Harris as a candidate for the presidency in the elections in 2028. About this on Monday, December 16, writes the newspaper The Guardian.

"Democratic Party aides have begun floating ideas for a political comeback for Kamala Harris, who reportedly plans to run again for the highest office in the United States," the piece said.

In addition, Harris is considering running for governor of California. According to the publication, the view that Harris may try to take the White House again comes at a time when the Democratic Party is building the argument that "her defeat of election-winning Republican Donald Trump was not as comprehensive as it is usually portrayed."

"She's ending this race very differently than other losing candidates. Her approval is higher. People were very happy with her race," a Harris adviser told the publication.

Harris herself has not shared her plans, but according to The Guardian, she is getting over her loss and plans to "keep fighting."

Earlier, on November 25, Politico wrote that Harris is considering options to continue her political career, including running for governor of California and participating in the next presidential election.

Prior to that, on November 21, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said that Harris needed a vacation in Hawaii after her election defeat. Harris flew on vacation on November 19, and her office notes in the schedule of the Vice President of the absence of public events for the following days.

The election for the 47th president of the United States took place on Nov. 5. In the popular vote, Trump received 51 percent of the vote, while Harris received 47.4 percent.

Harris, after the defeat, came out to supporters with a speech, during which she expressed gratitude to them and incumbent President Joe Biden for their support. She said her team would help Trump carry out the transition of power.
